Kisii-based Lawyer Okeng’o Nyambane has advised University leavers from Kisii and Nyamira counties not to wait for white-collar jobs.
He urged them to instead seek online avenues and amass skills to enhance self-employment and boost their employability.
“Use your mobile phones to learn how you can start your own business with a small amount of money,” he said.
Nyambane praised the Kenyan delegation that visited Switzerland recently to chart the way forward for the country’s extensive collaboration with the International Telecommunication Union (ITU) in the digital domain.
He revealed that the Union agreed to deploy its ICT experts to Kenya to promote and integrate ICT knowledge among Kenyan youth for entrepreneurial ventures.
“Kenya officially submitted her bid to host ITU Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship with a commitment to foster technological advancement and entrepreneurial spirit in the country,” he said.
