A Grade 7 boy is among two people fighting for their lives at Kilgoris Sub County Hospital after they were seriously assaulted and injured by unknown assailants last night.

According to Trans Mara West Sub County Commissioner Isaac Masinde, the victims were rushed to the hospital in critical condition but they are currently recuperating.

While addressing the public at Angata Baragoi, he issued a stern warning to the perpetrators vowing to arrest and arraign them in Court.

“My officers are still investigating the nature of weapons that the suspects used and the motive behind the attack,” he said.

One of the victims who talked to Education News in his hospital bed said that he had just returned home from visiting his relative at Olensetu Farm when he was attacked.

He suspected that his attackers thought he had come back with valuables and set out to rob him.

“I did not identify them as they beat me violently demanding money from me,” he said.

A resident, Moses Kantar, said that they fear for their children considering that they are on holiday. He urged the police to hasten investigations and bring the suspects to book.
