Deputy Chief Examiner in charge of St George’s High School KCPE marking centre collapsed and died as she was undergoing treatment at the Nairobi Hospital.

She collapsed while clearing examiners who had just finished marking this morning.

Identified as Dr. Sally Mutinda, she was supervising the centre where Kiswahili Insha and English Composition were being graded.

There is no immediate establishment of the cause, although fingers point to possible strenuous marking that has led to pressure and stress.

She has served as the KCPE English Composition examiner for over 20 years.
