Interior Principal Secretary, Raymond Omollo, has encouraged parents to keep their children occupied during the extended holiday.

Speaking at a funeral ceremony in Central Kolwa ward, Kisumu East, Omollo emphasized the potential hazards children might face during the prolonged break, underscoring the importance of heightened vigilance.

“Parents should exercise caution in preventing children from engaging in inappropriate activities, reducing the risk of early pregnancies, and protecting them from sexually transmitted infections,” he stated.

Additionally, Omollo urged parents to exercise extra care for their children during the extended holidays.

ICT Cabinet Secretary Eliud Owalo affirmed the government’s commitment to the comprehensive development of all regions, regardless of political affiliations. He specifically noted the government’s focus on revitalizing crucial sectors like fisheries, sugar, and cotton, essential components of the region’s economic foundation.
