Kings Academy and Children’s Home in Bumula B is engulfed in sorrow and grief following the mysterious death of the institution’s Principal Mr. Sebastian Mushwenje.
Mushwenje who is also the former Principal of St. Mathias Busia Secondary School fraternity is said to have been slain by unknown assailants at his home in Busia County on Tuesday.
The slain retired teacher comes from Shirandala Village near Ogola Markr]et in Butula Sub-County.
According to information from the deceased family, Mr. Mushwenje was last seen alive on Tuesday at his brother’s house at 7:30 pm when he left for his homestead which is about 10 meters away.
At around 8:30 pm his brother called him to inquire if he had reached home safely, but his calls went unanswered.
It was until 3:00 pm on Wednesday that the maid came and, upon opening the house, found the slain teacher’s lifeless body with a cut on the neck.
The 68-year-old Mushwenje lives alone as his wife works at Eldoret University in Uasin Gushu County.
The police have since launched an investigation into the murder as the family embarks on the burial preparations.
