Junior Secondary School (JSS) learners of Muget Primary School in Moiben sub-county, Uasin Gishu County will have to wait a little longer to resume studies after their parents stormed the school and closed down all classrooms.
They said that they were infuriated by the Ministry of Education’s utter neglect of their children
The parents were mad at the fact that there were only two JSS teachers in the institution responsible for teaching a class of 45 learners and vowed that the institution will only be opened when all necessary requirements for JSS learning including books, teachers, and necessary infrastructure are put in place.
They suggested that the government should revert to the 8-4-4 education system if the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC) proves too difficult to implement.
