Kitutu Masaba constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Ombane Gisairo has promised to repair and construct feeder roads to schools.

He said that bad roads impact the development of education because they delay teachers and learners as they report to schools.

The MP, who addressed residents at Machuririati Secondary school on Tuesday, revealed that his NG-CDF office will put aside funds to facelift all feeder roads leading to secondary and primary schools in the constituency.

“Most of the roads in this area are not good especially during the rainy season,” he said.

According to the MP, the roads have developed deep potholes posing challenges to matatus and bodaboda that ferry pupils to school.

Ombane revealed this when he commissioned Machuririati -Gesima and Keroka road to ease communication for the school going children.

He said that the provision of quality education to the children is paramount and promised to explore loopholes impeding education development in his constituency and seal them.

The legislator raised concern over the recent reported cases of missing girls from schools in the area and asked security apparatus to be vigilant.

Ombane asked parents to take care of their children and monitor them before they leave them to teachers and the local administration.
