Nyanza Regional Director of Education, Mr. Nelson Sifuna, has challenged parents and alumni to support learning institutions across the country.

Sifuna pointed out that resources given by the government to schools across the country can never be enough.

The director said old boys should come in handy and support their learning institutions.

He said anything given by parents to learning institutions is never an illegal levy once it has been approved.

“Anything given by parents through consensus via a board management resolution is not an illegal levy” he said.

He was speaking at the Kisumu Boys High school during the unveiling of its new perimeter wall after the old one collapsed.

Sifuna said the new project will go a long way in enhancing security of the school which is located in the middle of Kisumu town.

The new wall was erected though efforts of the school and old boys.
