Man in court for defiling school going daughters

A 56-year old man was today, Thursday, March 09, 2023, charged at Kangundo Law Courts with the defilement of his two school going daughters.

Nicholas Mwanzia, the suspect, who appeared before Principal Magistrate, Martha Opanga, denied committing the heinous act after he was booked and charged with two counts of defilement.

According to the prosecution, the accused defiled his two daughters aged eight and 15 years between February and March this year in Ituusya Village, Kangundo Sub county of Machakos county.

Mwanzia was arrested on Tuesday evening and locked at Kangundo Police Station.

“On diverse dates on month of February and March 2023 in Ituusya village in Kangundo intentionally caused his penis to penetrate into genital organs to a child aged 8 years,” read the first count.

The court asked him to pay Sh.400,000 bond with a surety of the same amount.

The case is set for mention on March 22nd and March 28th.

The two children were treated at Kangundo Level Four Hospital and are currently under social welfare undergoing therapy.
