Kisii County Governor Simba Arati has reiterated his desire to work with qualified people in his government to enable him produce quality services.
Speaking during his home coming ceremony, he stated that there were many qualified University graduates who were idle at home as less qualified people were blundering government services.
“We need to place the right people at the right places of work based on their academic achievements. I have realized that most workers in my government lack academic certificates. I urge those with fake academic certificates to resign before they are ashamed in public,” he said.

According to Arati, his government will not tolerate academic mediocrity and has already began to clean the human resource mess in it through a partnership with the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) to weed out people with forged certificates.
“Let those with undeserving certificates quit their positions and go back home to till their land and produce food to feed our populace,” he said.

People who attended the ceremony lauded Arati for embracing bold steps in serving the residents in his quest to give the county a new leadership.
They asked him to give priority to education development by providing education bursaries to children from poor homes.
Deputy Governor Robert Monda and Arati’s wife Mrs. Nyaboke graced the occasion among other leaders.
