A 13-year-old school boy has shot himself in Chereni area in Ruai.
The incident happened when his father, the Commissioner of Police Commander North Eastern Region, Patrick King’ori Macharia left his pistol at the sitting room on the couch to go to the washroom.
A few minutes later as he was talking to his wife Judy Watetu Muchiri, they heard a gunshot sound emitting from one of their son bedroom.
They found the room locked from inside and with the help of his wife broke into the bedroom and found their son to have shot himself on the left side of the head.
The son, Samson Kariuki King’ori was a student at Elite Academy –Shujaa.
The scene was processed and documented by scenes of crime personnel.
The body was moved to Kenyatta University Mortuary pending postmortem and further investigation.
