The Kenya University and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) has today opened its portal for the second revision of school choices.
Candidates are encouraged to revise their choices from 7th June to 11th June this year.
The first revision ended on June 2nd.
KUCCPS accepts application of all students, their grades notwithstanding. The students are encouraged to apply for courses of their choice under government sponsorship.
Those being targeted are candidates who got C+ and above in the 2021 KCSE but did not apply for any degree course, candidates who failed to secure a degree course due to competition in the recent first revision period and past candidates from the year 2000 to 2021 who scored between C plain and E and have not applied for TVET courses.
To apply, first look for your KCSE Index Number in the list published in the service’s website. If it is there, log in to the portal and select other courses of your preference.
The service charges Shs 1,500 for those who did not revise at school and Shs 1,000 for those who applied in school.
This is really demoliralising to students with either C+ or B- with qualifications to study certain courses but end up studies other unchoiced course simply because of high standards of kuccps cut of point I suggested that the body should agree with colleges and go with colleges rates in the near future
