The Maseno national school has received a major boost after its old boys erected a twin classroom worth Sh3 million within a record two months.

The Maseno Old Boys Association (MOBA) under the chairmanship of Mr. Walter Odhiambo also undertook to work on other infrastructural challenges at the top learning institution which is located in Kisumu County.

Odhiambo, together with the other MOBA members said that they will also improve in the road networks around the school since many of them are road engineers.

The chairman said the 100% transition has created a major challenge in many learning institutions where Maseno has not been left behind.

He added that they will continue supporting their old school which he noted has produced top brains in the country.

School principal, Mr. Peter Owino Otieno, lauded the gesture by the old boys noting that it is plausible.

Otieno said that demand for space at the institution has been on an upward trend due to its reputation and discipline.

The principal said Maseno was not hit by the wave of unrests which rocked many learning institutions across the country.

Education cabinet secretary Professor George Magoha recently toured the school and commended the over 2000 students for the high level of discipline so far exhibited.

The principal said that Maseno which was established in 1906 by Missionaries has many challenges just like many other schools in the country.
