The Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. Magoha has given a stern warning to unscrupulous officials working at the KNEC offices against attempts to illegally influence the results of the fourth coming national examinations.
The CS disclosed intelligence information his office received that cartels at KNEC offices are currently making calls to school principals seeking confidential students data to aid in exam cheating.
Speaking at Nyamira Girls High School in Bondo while commissioning CBC classrooms, the Education Cabinet Secretary said the cartels are targeting naive principles with the promise of boosting the examination results of their respective schools.
He warned the examination cartels that his office is aware of the shoddy plans and will take stern action against those found culpable.
“I caution any principal against engaging in the vice because it will sure cost you your job. Do not dare give out student confidential data to any unauthorized KNEC official,” Prof. Magoha warned.
The CS on that note assured the public of the sanctity of the examination process noting that the examination materials are ready and there will be no cheating in the exams.
“We have already deployed over 2500 teachers to man the exams schedule to start on 7th march. Overall there shouldn’t be any cause to worry because we are keen on every detail in the whole process,” he assured.
