Kisii County Commissioner Mr. Allan Macharia has assured parents and candidates of the security of national examinations scheduled to begin next week.
The county boss gave the assurance while addressing principals and other education stakeholders at Kisii School on Wednesday. He promised that his office will provide tight security to safeguard the examinations against any irregularities.
“All security organs have been put in place to spearhead tranquil progress of the examinations,” he assured.
The administrator appealed to both KCPE and KCSE candidates not to fear but instead, embrace confidence and trust themselves to tackle the examinations successfully.
He gave early warning to anybody who might try to tamper with the examination materials because they will be arrested and judged in court according to the law.
Kisii County Director of Education Mr. Pius Ngoma who was present at the occasion, sent messages of success to all of the 2021 national examination candidates.
He took the opportunity to remind the contractors of the Competency Based Curriculum Classrooms to complete them before the examinations start.
He took a swipe at some constructors who demanded to be paid before they completed their work but assured them of payment after certification of their work because there was enough money from the government.
The Commissioner appealed to different School Management Committees to provide honest oversight services during the construction of the class rooms, adding that success in education calls for collective responsibility.
