The alumni of Cardinal Otunga-Mosocho High School have encouraged candidates to remain steadfast and confident in academics to enable them achieve their goals as they are about to face the national examinations.

While addressing the students at the school during a motivational gathering organized by Cardinal Otunga Millennial Old Boys Association (COMOBA), the alumni challenged them to remain focused on their academics despite drawbacks they might be facing.

Consequently, they were summoned to lift the school mean grade as they equally looked to attain good grades that will enable them achieve their dreams.

Noting that several changes had taken effect in the school, courtesy of the current administration, they said the students had all the resources they needed to better their lives.

Led by the Alumni President Dr. Erick Okong’o, they tasked the students to believe in themselves as every dream is valid only when discipline formed the foundation.

At the event, speaker after speaker urged them to focus, work hard and pray if they wanted to succeed.

“The idea was to get former students who have succeeded in life to motivate the students and give them hope that nothing is impossible so that they develop a positive attitude and appreciate the facilities within the institution,” said Okong’o.

Okongo urged other old students to create time and visit their former schools as a motivation to success, which not only helps to curb indiscipline among students but also useful in crowd-funding when they need support in improving school infrastructure.

Dr. Nyambaro Obed, who is the group’s Secretary General, noted that giving back to the society would only attract more blessings. He said they were motivated to give their former school a new face through infrastructural development, career motivation and development of skills and talents.

On his side, the school Principal Mr. Chrispinus Owino invited more of the former students to join the movement and add value to the younger generation.

“I appreciate the efforts and time spared by all of you here. You have motivated the students and also funded infrastructural projects. I wish to encourage more alumni to copy what Cardinal Otunga Millennial Old Boys Association has done to the society,” remarked Owino.

He disclosed that the mean score target for the 2021 candidates had been set at 8.6, encouraging them to remain focused on their studies and pray to attain the set goal.
