Kisumu County Director of Education Mr. Isaac Nyanga’u Atebe has resigned inorder to vie for the North Mugirango parliamentary seat.
Speaking in Nyamira town, the education boss said that he has enough experience in the public service hence he can represent the constituents of North Mugirango.
Atebe , who is the son of the former MP for North Mugirango the late Livingstone Marita, promised to improve the education standards in the area if he is elected into parliament.
“My priority will be to promote quality education by establishing Centres of Excellence,” he promised.
He decried the poor state of roads in the area and promised to rectify the situation for quick development.
“Our rich agricultural economy depends on good roads,” he pointed.
Atebe asked teachers from the region to own his bid and mobilize residents to vote for him in large numbers.
“I appeal to the teaching fraternity to support me,” he said.
Hon Joash Nyamoko is currently serving as the MP for North Mugirango. He previously served as the pioneer speaker of Nyamira county.
