Parents in Migogo village of Marani Sub-county are appealing for police intervention after a 16-year old high school student defiled a four year old minor.
The parents have decried the incidents as the victim was defiled by a well-known relative who left her for dead in a maize plantation.
According to the victim’s father, the family left two children at the backyard of their homestead as they went to pluck tea.
Upon coming back, they found one of the children missing. They then followed trails to the maize farm behind the homestead where they found the abused minor lying frail on the ground.
They rushed her to hospital where it was confirmed that she was defiled.
After the minor gained conscious, she narrated about the horrifying incident and identified her attacker, confirming that he was a close relative.
The villagers later identified the boy who is a student at Ragogo Secondary School.
One of the school workers who asked not to be named said that the boy was at school but kept on dodging questions from the principal to conceal the matter.
The father of the abused child said he had reported the matter to Marani Police Station where he was not given attention, prompting him to visit Omoraa Police Station where he recorded a statement. The officers promised to carry out investigations.
He appealed to the Kisii County Education Board to address the matter as his complaints came barely two days after parents from Nyarenda Primary School protested against a randy teacher who preyed on school girls.
