Several students of Thur-Gem Secondary School in Kisumu County have been injured after their school bus got involved in an accident.
The school bus which students were traveling in got involved in the accident at Mamboleo along Kisumu-Kakamega road.
According to Kisumu Central Sub-county Police Commander Mr. Antony Maina, the bus was traveling from Bukura Agricultural Training Institute on Thursday evening before it lost control, veering off the road and eventually landing on its side.

Eye witnesses at the scene said the bus lost control and landed in a ditch.
Maina revealed that the bus had 44 students and four teachers on board. Terrified students who were screaming were assisted by locals who pulled them out of the bus.
The injured were immediately rushed to Jaramogi Oginga Odinga Teaching and Referral hospital for treatment.
Hospital Chief Executive Officer Dr. George Rae confirmed that 10 students were admitted while the rest were released and asked to be back for checkup on Friday.
