Football clubs and associations urged to comply with the sports act

Following the resumption of football leagues in the Country early this Month, the football Kenya caretaker committee has called upon the clubs and associations to ensure they fully comply with the requirements of the sports Act in order to run football activities in the grassroots.

In a press release signed by the caretaker committee chairman Justice Aaron Ringera (Rtd), clubs are further advised to deal with branches and associations that are compliant and where in doubt to verify this information with sports registrar.

With a view of streamlining all the sports activities at the grass root level, the committee is set to embark on grass root tours across the country to engage clubs and football stakeholders.

“For the avoidance of doubt all County associations, branches and any other organization running the affairs of football are subordinate to the caretaker committee.” The press release read in part.

The press release also said that the committee is available to clarify any issues and all stakeholders are free to reach them through their available contacts.
