Nyamira Girls celebrates improved results

Nyamira Girls High School in Bondo, Siaya County took to the streets of Bondo town in celebration following the remarkable performance in the 2020 KCSE results.

A jubilated School Principal, Mrs. Jesca Ambasa while leading hundreds of girls in jubilation noted that the performance was encouraging and well deserved.

In the 2020 KCSE results, the school managed a mean of 8.2 which is an improvement index of 1.6 from the 2019 results where it posted a mean of 6.59.

“We are grateful to God because we are able to send 276 candidates out of 300 candidates to universities, this is attributed to the hard work and determination of our teachers including the discipline of the candidates,” said Mrs. Ambasa.

The principal stated that the 2020 class was a confident class who had shown indication of an improvement. She also observed that early syllabus coverage was also a plus towards the improvement.

They produced A- (13), B+ (37), B (74), B- (81), C+ (74), C (17) and C- (4). There was no grade below C-.

Parents Association chair, Dan Akongo who was part of the celebrations thanked the teachers for their zeal and determination that has seen the school record stellar performance.

He said, “It’s now upon us to lubricate our teachers and ignite them to continue the good work in the years to come and continue to dominate the charts of top performers.”
