Three girls are sitting for their examination papers at Kitui Level IV hospital after delivering their babies few hours to the start of Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) yesterday.
The three are from different schools within Kitui county.
According to the hospital report, one of the girls aged 17 from Kitui Central sub county gave birth to a premature child who was later taken to the New Born Unit for incubation as the mother continued with her examinations.
The other candidate aged 13 is from Mutomo sub county while the last one aged 17 is from Nzambani sub county.
Total security has been assured to the three to facilitate the smooth exercise.
