Wote Primary seeks more events after hosting county music festivals

ACK Wote Township Primary School has expressed confidence and intention to host bigger events after it successfully hosted the sub-county and county music festivals.

The Makueni county music festivals lasted two days with the school hosting over 120 schools which put their best feet forward despite financial constraints.

Deputy Headteacher Gerald Mwangangi thanked the Ministry for picking the school as the host saying their top notch infrastructure was one of the considerations that enabled them to host the festivals.

“We feel privileged and honored to host two big events for the county. We are ready to host even bigger ones since the school is capable. There is enough space between our rooms which were used for music, dance, reciting of verses and other activities,” he said.

Another plus was their borehole which proved useful for the visitors.

The school presented four items, two of them scooped position one while the other two secured position two.

The school also provided tight security and experienced no cases of injuries adding that the display of discipline by participants was commendable.

Mwangangi wished all winning teams from the various schools success as they head to the Regional level.
