Will he be lucky this time? Former KESSHA boss seeks IEBC job

Former Kenya Secondary School Heads Association (KESSHA) National Chairman Alfred Indimuli Kahi was yesterday among six candidates, who were grilled by Dr. Nelson Makanda-led panel for the position of a member of the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC).

Indimuli, Ahmed Sheikh, Alamitu Guyo, Albert Nguma, Ali Nur and Ann Nderitu, who all aimed to convince the panel of their suitability for the role yesterday, presented their qualifications, vision and innovative ideas for transforming the IEBC into a more transparent, efficient and credible institution.

Indimuli, 62, insisted on the value of building trust in IEBC.

“To build this trust there must be very clear channels of communication which leaves no doubt to anybody who would like to get the information so that when a person needs information he/she should get it.” he said.
