The longest serving West Pokot Teachers Service Commission (TSC officer, Nelson Musani, was recently celebrated in a colourful event, as he marks the end of his career as a civil servant.
The celebration, which took place on Friday, October 3, 2025, drew various officers from the Ministry of Education and other TSC officers from West Pokot County.
Musani, who started his career as a classroom teacher, rose to various ranks until his retirement as a curriculum Support officer in Siyoi Zone.
He was showered with praise by speakers as a dedicated and committed TSC Officer while on duty.

Amos Kibet, the MoE West Pokot Sub-County Director, stated that Musani was a diligent team player while on duty and consistently delivered excellent work.
Philemon Rop, the Quality Assurance and Standards Officer in West Pokot Sub-County, said that Musani motivated teachers in all the stations and zones he worked in, which improved Education in the County.
Kessha chairman, Amos Gesike, praised Musani as an officer who always had learners’ interests at heart.
Madam Cecilia Ngige, Kepsha West Pokot Secretary , termed Mr Musani as a good facilitator and organiser during Educational Workshops and seminars.
Sigor MP Peter Lochakapong, the Chief guest, said that Musani has influenced learners to aim higher in education, which has brought about a positive change in West Pokot County.
