Elgeyo Marakwet UDA gubernatorial nominee, Wisely Rotich, has settled for Prof. Grace Cheserek as his preferred running mate in the run for august general election.
Prof Cheserek, an accomplished academician with a PhD in environmental science is expected to bring in a wealth of academic research.
While unveiling the nominee, Rotich through a press statement said the don who is currently head of partnership at the University of Eldoret is a valuable asset bringing in wealth of experience in management, research and resource mobilization.
Rotich describes his nominee thus “She is distinguished scholar, expert in strategic management, highly experienced administrator, resource mobilize and passionate about community service”.
He at the same time said the choice was informed by the policy of inclusion of women in leadership positions to balance the gender parity saying space of women is guaranteed in his administration and is in the center of transformative agenda.
Professor Cheserek sits in various secondary schools board of Management notably St. Patrick Iten, Santa Maria Girls, Chebororwa girls among others.
