The Ministry of Education has finally announced vacancies of the 1,300 Technical Vocational Education Training (TVET) tutors that President Ruto promised the government would hire while in his three day visit to Kisii County last week.

The president made the promise at Kisii National Polytechnic where he said that a sum of 50 tutors from the 1,300 who will be hired nationwide will be deployed to the institution in a move to ensure that there is adequate human resource in TVETs.

Applications are open for qualified Degree, Higher National Diploma and Diploma holders for the positions of Vocational and Technical Trainers for the 220 institutions across the country.

Interested and qualified persons are requested to submit their applications directly to the institutions where vacancies exist by filling one (Revised 2016) application form and attaching copies of National ID card, academic and professional certificates, transcripts and any other testimonials.

The form may be downloaded from the Commission website: www.publicservice.go.ke

All the candidates could submit their qualifications before the deadline on April 17, 2023.

Successful candidates will be required to apply for licensing and registration by the TVET Authority.
