Minnesota House Representative Huldah Momanyi Hiltsley has decried the neglect of the boy child compared to the attention given to girls.
Speaking at Boochi- Tendere Ward in Gucha Subcounty, this carefree attitude exhibited by adults to bringing up despondent children accumulates a lot of bitterness and anger in them that come to resurface in their married life, which begets Gender Based Violence as they take revenge on their innocent partners to compensate for the lost, suppressed humane emotions that their parents denied them in childhood.
“Let us instil a sense of responsibility in our children by showing them love and compassion to enable them to grow with virtues as they transform into adult men who are supposed to be family gate peace keepers instead of invaders,” she said.
