Umma University has launched a Sh1.9 scholarship programme dubbed Umma University Students Support Programme (UU-SSP). The programme will see 2, 780 students benefit from scholarships and interest-free study loans.

It is a partnership between the University, Africa Education and Development Trust (AEDT) and Direct Aid International and will run for the next seven years.

During the launch held recently at Umma University main Campus, Umma University Vice-Chancellor Idle Farah said the programme has been sponsored by Direct Aid International.

It will be managed by Africa Education and Development Trust – a non-profit-making organisation whose goal is to empower communities through education financing.
