The boys will be taking part in one of the most popular extravaganza in the world; the Rosslyn Park School 7 aside tournament in the United Kingdom (UK).

Speaking to press after conclusion of the games held at St Martin Kathonzweni Boys, their teacher-coach Satia Nyongesa noted that the win comes as a result of discipline and unreserved support from the principal Richard Mokaya who is very passionate about co-curricular activities.

The team was in the East Africa competitions last year and secured position 4 and were selected for the overseas tournament.

The boys also won in hockey for the first time at the county level and hope to go far.

The school captain Oloo Hillary Oketch said they will continue preparing fully for the regionals and hope to go further this year.

“Hardwork, persistence, prayer, discipline and motivation has made us reach here. Even as we prepare to go to UK, we promise to fly the Kenyan flag high,” Oketch said.
