Two students from Kaplong Boys High School in Bomet County have been arrested after they were allegedly found in possession of 23 rolls of cannabis sativa during a routine inspection on the school compound.
According to school sources, teachers conducting the inspection noticed suspicious behavior from the students, prompting a thorough search.
It was during this exercise that the rolls of the illegal substance were reportedly discovered hidden among their belongings.
The school administration immediately alerted local authorities, who swiftly responded and took the suspects into custody.
Confirming the incident, police said the two students are being held as investigations continue to establish how they accessed the drugs and whether more learners or external suppliers are involved.

The officers have also indicated that they will be questioning individuals believed to be linked to the case in an effort to dismantle any network supplying narcotics to school-going children.
