TVET colleges have power to transform your lives, Kwale youth told

Msambweni MP Feisal Bader speaks in an interview at Ukunda Showground in Kwale County.

Msambweni MP Feisal Bader has called on Kwale youth to embrace Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) as a means to transform their lives and foster a brighter future.

Speaking at a recent Sports event in Ukunda, Bader stressed that acquiring technical skills can provide the youth with valuable job opportunities, thereby steering them away from the pitfalls of drug abuse and criminal activities.

“Education and skill development are powerful tools in shaping a better future,” he said.

Bader noted that in TVET institutions, youth are not only gaining practical skills but also setting themselves up for a more stable and successful career, which will in turn be crucial for driving socio-economic growth across the county.

The MP said that Kwale leaders have prioritized youth empowerment through various sports and educational programmes.

He highlighted the ongoing county and national government efforts to enhance TVET facilities and ensure that training programs are aligned with industry needs.

Bader also encouraged the youth to explore opportunities in sports as a viable means of creating employment and achieving personal success.

The lawmaker said that combining innate talent with formal education can significantly enhance personal development and career prospects.

“Talent alone is not enough; it must be nurtured and refined through education and training,” he said.

He said valuing and investing in both education and talent, youth can unlock greater potential and create more meaningful opportunities for themselves.

The MP called on community leaders, educators, and stakeholders to collaborate in nurturing and promoting sports initiatives, which can serve as an alternative pathway to employment and economic advancement.
