Turkana University announces 206 vacancies for part-time lecturers

Turkana University College has announced 206 vacancies for part-time lecturers in different faculties in the institution.

In a job advertisement seen by Education News, the institution seeks to deploy these lecturers in the schools of Education and Social Sciences, Business and Economics, as well as Science and Technology.

The School of Business and Economic has the highest share of vacancies at 48 tutors, while the School of Education and Social Sciences’ Department of Teacher Education seeks to recruit 46 lecturers.

At the same time, the School of Education and Social Sciences seeks to hire 8, 7 and 6 lecturers in the departments of Master of Arts in Development Studies (MDS), Bachelor of Social Work and Administration, Bachelor of Development Studies (BDS) and BSc. Conflict Resolution and Humanitarian Assistance.

To be considered, the lecturers must have a Masters in a required discipline as well as a PhD. from a recognized institution both in the country and abroad.

Consequently, they must have a good work ethic with capability to work and co-exist well with colleagues and be able to work with little or no supervision.

Interested and qualified lecturers are urged to submit their applications not later than September 6, 2024.

“Applicants should send their applications in soft copy {one (1) running PDF file} to dpafp@tuc.ac.ke. Which should include a cover letter, curriculum vitae, copies of certificates and other testimonials on or before Friday, September 6, 2024 at 5.00 pm,“ the announcement reads in part.
