The newly elected and inaugurated school board members have been encouraged to collaborate with teachers to prevent unnecessary conflicts.
Speaking during the inauguration of primary school BOM members at Malivani AIC Comprehensive School in Makueni County, Assistant Director of TSC Daniel Ole Munyere added that teachers should be motivated and give their time humbly to run the schools.
He reminded the board that, even as they employ teachers in their schools, they should ensureprioritise that they have TSC numbers.
Munyere reminded teachers that the government has advertised teachers’ promotions in different jobs this month and that they should apply, reminding them that the process will be fair enough and again cautioning them against con artists who take advantage of them during such exercises.

He noted that at the moment, they are preparing and deploying supervisors, invigilators, and centre managers before the assessment kicks off to ensure everything runs smoothly.
“We will be ready with all required personnel come the assessment dates. Our teachers are preparing the learners to do their best,” Munyere said.
He assured schools that the government is working tirelessly to ensure there are enough teachers in junior secondary schools, adding that primary schools have sufficient teachers.
