Embattled Ramba High School Senior Principal Wyclife Manoah has been moved.

Two students of the learning institution, which is located in Rarieda, Siaya County, recently died after falling into a collapsed toilet.

Manoah has been moved to Nambale High School in Busia County.

His position has been taken over by his Magunga High School Principal, Dr Patrick Odhier, who his bosses have directed to report immediately to his new station.

The irate students demanded the principal’s removal, whom they accused of being high-handed and of general maladministration of the learning institution.

Some students recently died after a septic tank they were standing on suddenly collapsed.

The two students fell into a school toilet that collapsed.

The Siaya County Director of Education, Mbugua Kabaki, confirmed the unfortunate incident and said investigations have been launched.

Dr Odhier is no stranger to Ramba, having previously served as the director of studies during Canon James Okoyo’s reign.

He has also worked at Barding High School as the deputy principal under the current St Mary’s High School Yala chief principal, Victor Makanda, and at Sawagongo High School under Maurice Ogutu.

Dr Odhier went to Magunga and found a student population of 500, leaving it with a total population of 1,300.

Earlier, stakeholders in Rarieda called for the removal of Manoah amid accusations over his leadership style.

The students sent home following the mishap reported to the school, but demanded their heads be removed.

It is believed Dr Odhier will restore the confidence of learners and parents who have worked there before.
