TSC to cooperate with education stakeholders to boost education in Nakuru

The Teachers Service Commission, (TSC) will closely cooperate with various education stakeholders to boost the quality of education in all schools in Nakuru County.

Nakuru County Teachers Service Commission, (TSC) Director Geoffrey Chemos while speaking to Education News said that stakeholders are key in enhancing smooth running of education and implementing all programs in schools and thus the Commission will ensure in involve them to give learners the best education.

“The Commission work closely with Teachers Unions; to ensure all issues affecting teachers in Nakuru County are addressed affectively to enable all teachers to have conducive environment in all their work stations,” he said.

He further reiterated cordial engagement with teacher unions, saying that though them, they ensure teachers perform their duties and have a conducive environment.

“Teacher Unions are our key stakeholders we are working  with them to ensure our teachers have conducive environment in all their work stations and they perform their duties of giving all learners quality education,” Chemos added.

He reaffirm that the TSC have conduct capacity building for all Head Teachers for effective supervision and monitoring the implementation of curriculum in all schools.

The Director added that the Commission have also enhance initialization of TIMEC(Teachers Induction Mentorship and Coaching) which have reduce cases of teachers indiscipline in the County.

“Initialization of TIMEC Program in Nakuru County have embrace learners: Teachers Contact in our schools because the presence of teachers in schools allows learners to get quality of education,”  said Chemos.

He said that the dialogue consultation with various stakeholders  have enable stakeholders to support education in the County.

“We conduct dialogue and consultation with our stakeholders to ensure every person perform his role to boost our learners learning process”, said Chemos.

The Director also said that the Commission have been conducting guidance and Counselling in addressing teachers mental challenge which have affect some teachers.

“Through Guidance and Counselling to affected teachers with mental challenges, we listen to teachers, give them guidance which include referring some of the teachers to rehabilitation centres so that they can get adequate assistance”, said Chemos.

He said that teachers are very important people in the society and the commission handle them well to ensure learning is conducted smoothly in all schools.

Nakuru County TSC Director also urged teachers in Junior Secondary Schools to maintain high standards of professionalism in their day-to-day duties in their work stations.

The Directors said that JSS Teachers should engage their supervisors in case of any issue related to implementation of CBE.
