Over 49,000 teachers are addicted to alcohol and other substance abuse.
Teachers Service Commission revealed the statistics in Kakamega recently.
The Commission Acting Deputy Director, Wellness Section, Magdalene Mwele pointed out that many of the teachers affected were mostly those teaching science subjects.
