The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has released the complete list of accredited hospitals that will provide medical services to teachers under the newly rolled-out Social Health Authority (SHA) scheme.

The list, issued on November 29, 2025, outlines facilities across counties that will now attend to teachers and their dependents as part of the transition from the previous medical insurance system.

According to the published schedule, teachers will be served by a vast network of hospitals ranging from national referral facilities to county, mission, and private institutions. In Nairobi, approved facilities include Kenyatta National Hospital (KNH), Mama Lucy Kibaki Hospital, Mbagathi Hospital, PCEA Kikuyu Hospital, Aga Khan University Hospital, MP Shah, Nairobi Hospital, Karen Hospital, and several others.

The document also lists Dandora Health Centre, Ngara Health Centre, Mathare North Health Centre, Bahati Health Centre, and Babadogo Health Centre among the primary access points for teachers within the capital.

Counties such as Kiambu, Machakos, Kajiado, Nakuru, Kakamega, Mombasa, Uasin Gishu, Kisumu and others are similarly covered, each with multiple designated facilities. These include regional referral hospitals and reputable mission hospitals known for specialised and emergency care.

The release of the facility list assures teachers that they will continue accessing treatment seamlessly as SHA takes over service delivery. The move follows TSC’s recent confirmation that the transition to the new scheme has been successful, with teachers in various hospitals already onboarded and receiving uninterrupted care.

The Commission says the accredited facilities will continue to expand as SHA finalises additional contracts, ensuring that educators across all 47 counties receive timely, reliable and comprehensive medical attention.
