TSC official urges teachers to take covid-19 jabs

By Tony Wafula

Bungoma Teachers Service Commissioner (TSC) Director Ibrahim Adan has asked teachers to go for Covid-19 jabs.

Adan called on teachers to be on the frontline noting that they have been given a chance to take jabs in their nearest health facilities.

He added that TSC is working closely with the county Ministry of Health to ensure that teachers above 58 years are given priority to receive the jab, saying that teachers should harry up and get vaccinated.

The director noted that all exam Centre Managers are on duty in line with Covid-19 protocols and exam irregularities have not been reported in Bungoma County.

He said most education officials in Bungoma County have received the jabs.

“I acknowledge all education officials who have availed themselves and taken the shots since they have acted as role models to our teachers,’’ he said.

At the same time, he said Bungoma County Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) exams are in good process and no school or centre manager have been caught in any exam irregularity.
