The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) CEO Dr. Nancy Macharia has directed all TSC field officers on leave to resume their stations by October 16, 2023.

She said that the decision was reached to ensure that TSC has a full workforce dedicated to making the 2023 National Examinations a success.

Speaking at the Kenya National Examination Council (KNEC) Headquarters, Dr. Macharia announced that 223,223 teachers have been vetted as supervisors and invigilators, with 37,731 serving as examiners.

She further said that during the examinations, centre managers will oversee the collection of morning and afternoon papers without compromising procedures.

Additionally, the CEO said that the Commission has deployed 71,760 centre managers who will attend sub-county briefings in early October.

Dr. Macharia also said that no Supervisor or Invigilator from last year’s exam will work at the same centre.

She further noted that only Centre and Deputy Managers will be on-site during the exams.
