The Diocese of Maseno South has vowed to use all means at its disposal to prevent a new principal whom it has rejected from assuming full responsibilities at Kisumu Day High School.
The head of the diocese, Reverend Charles Onginjo, said that they have rejected the posting of Rabet Abidha at the learning institution and that the position stands.
Onginjo said the law is very clear that a head teacher cannot insist on working in a school once the sponsor has rejected their posting.
The Bishop said they will be forced to resort to legal means to stop Abidha from working there, given his poor track record.
Onginjo demanded to know why Abidha went to the learning institution late in the evening in the company of goons if his hands were clean.
A new principal has been posted to Kisumu Day High School amidst protests from the church sponsor.
Abidha took over from Daniel Mwaturo, who is proceeding on retirement.
Onginjo insisted that they will not allow the new principal to take over the management of the learning institution.
The cleric stated that they had submitted their proposals to the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) regarding the matter.
The cleric wondered why the handing-over ceremony was done at night without the presence of the school Board of Management.
He said the learning institution has, for the last eight years, when Mwaturo was there, been run down.
Onginjo earlier wrote a hard-hitting letter to the TSC, claiming undue interference from Commissioner Timon Oyucho.
