The Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has announced 2,014 vacancies for replacing teachers who exited service through natural attrition across public primary, junior, and secondary schools.

According to a notice posted on its official website, the Commission revealed that 1,309 of the positions are for primary schools, 32 for junior secondary, and 673 for secondary schools.

The recruits will be hired on permanent and pensionable terms.

To be eligible for recruitment, applicants must be Kenyan citizens, registered teachers with the TSC, and hold a P1 certificate for primary school positions or a diploma in education for junior and secondary school vacancies.

The Commission has urged interested and qualified candidates to submit their applications exclusively through its online platform at www.tsc.go.ke or teachersonline.tsc.go.ke by Monday, May 19, at midnight. Manual applications will not be considered.

Applicants are advised to consult the TSC website for the breakdown of available vacancies per county or school. The 2024/2025 TSC Recruitment Guidelines will apply throughout the exercise.

Shortlisted candidates will be required to present original academic and professional certificates during interviews.

The Commission further emphasised that applicants whom TSC has never employed will be given priority. Submitting more than one application form will result in disqualification.

Reaffirming its commitment to fairness and inclusion, TSC noted that persons with disabilities are strongly encouraged to apply. The Commission also cautioned the public that the recruitment process is entirely free of charge and warned against fraudsters claiming to offer assistance for a fee.
