The Teachers Service Commission acting CEO Evaleen Mitei has urged special education teachers to aid the government in the implementation of the Special Needs Education.
Speaking at Booker Academy in Mumias, Kakamega County, Mitei called upon trained special education teachers to support the new education system by assisting the learners in selecting their preferred pathways.
She added that the Ministry of Education will heavily rely on Special need teachers in the implementation of Competency based Education when it comes to special needs learners.

“We are counting on you,” The TSC boss told some Special need teachers who were overseeing primary second term sports games.
She said the learners are supposed to pick one pathway among the three paths which includes sports science.
She visited and watched a showdown with a new discipline in a family of visually impaired games for Special need Education.
The CEO was accompanied by the KSSSA chair Kipchumba Maiyo, Nelson Sifuna and western regional director of education among others.
