The training, organised through the collaboration of TSC, the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD), the Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC), the Ministry of Education, the Kenya Education Management Institute (KEMI), and KISE, brought together Master Trainers from across the country for capacity building.
Participants were guided through core areas, including the structure and philosophy of Competency-Based Education, the organisation of learning at the senior school level, assessment frameworks, learner support strategies, and practical pedagogical approaches under the CBE model.
The retooling exercise is intended to equip a national pool of Master Trainers who will lead cascading trainings to ensure seamless CBE implementation in schools.
