Schools in Trans Nzoia County have registered remarkable success in the 2025 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations, with leading schools posting strong results that highlight the region’s rising academic profile.
St. Joseph’s Boys High School Kitale emerged as the county’s top performer, recording a mean score of 9.777 (B+), a significant improvement from 9.014 (B) in 2024. The school, known nationally for its soccer exploits, produced 10 grade A scorers, 150 A-, 294 B+, 224 B, and 36 B-. Another 12 candidates attained C+, underscoring consistent performance across the upper grades. School leadership attributed the achievement to disciplined study, committed teachers, and focused management.

St. Brigid’s Kiminini Girls reinforced its reputation as an academic powerhouse, with 342 candidates sitting the exam and achieving a mean score of 9.61 (B+). The grade distribution included 15 A, 75 A-, 110 B+, and 78 B, alongside 45 B-, 12 C+, two C, and five C-. The results reflect balanced performance across the cohort and sustained excellence in the school’s academic culture.
St. Anne’s Girls Kiminini also posted impressive results, with all 41 candidates securing direct university entry. Principal Florence Natembeya confirmed the school attained a mean score of 9.0, with five A-, eight B+, 14 B plains, 10 B-, and four C+. She described the outcome as a testament to the dedication of students, teachers, and the school’s management.
