Top KCSE student in Mandera appeals for support

The best candidate in Mandera County in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) 2020 has asked for support to pursue his studies.

Abdi Kheir, despite coming from a humble background scored an impressive B+ with 72 points from Mandera Secondary School appealed to well-wishers and the government to assist him to achieve his dreams.

Kheir is aspiring to become a surgeon.

Insecurity in the region in the past saw a large number of non-local teachers running away.

According to Abdi Kheir’s relatives who saw him go thorough his entire secondary school he was determined and hardworking. They are appealing for well-wishers to help him pursue his dreams as the family is unable to see him in university.

Mandera Secondary School Deputy Principal, Mr Hussein Nuro said Abdi Kheir always topped his class since he joined the school.

The Deputy Head teacher stated that the school has always helped brighter hardworking students achieve their best grades.
