Effective classroom management by teachers is very key to addressing challenges affecting learners. This is the most suitable key to unlock all the learners potentials
Some teachers look at their class and imagine that learners are cursed, condemned or even abandoned by nature.
The performance of the learners is greatly influenced by the nature of classroom management, which further interprets into the collective school’s general score.
The truth is that we have hardworking and dedicated teachers and a few others who have not fully measured up to the classrooms absolute demands.
The real scale of dedicated teachers rests secretly with the heads of department and other administrators.
I would like to challenge teachers to take time and find out their places in the heart of a genuine administrators.
In many cases, it’s unfortunate to learn that a good classroom teacher is known by parents, fellow teachers, the administrators and even learners.
To be a good classroom teacher one has to struggle hard to establish a conducive learning environment which will spontaneously encourage safety, motivation and engagement among the learners.

A good environment will promote emotional and intellectual growth which will create room for participation and critical thinking during lesson delivery.
A good classroom teacher interacts with learners regularly. It builds friendship, trust and bonding, this goes a long way in encouraging group activities and hands-on-exposition.
Another important dimension is the ability to hold learners accountable for their behavior as well as performance. Through such a practice learners are fully motivated.
A proper classroom management technique is the ability to talk privately to learners with disruptive behavior. Some learners appear so difficult, but as teachers give them a bit of attention, proper classroom management is realized.
Teachers are advised to avoid sarcasm, this might be seen as verbal bullying. Things like mockery, irony or what’s famously known as malignant joy have to be completely avoided.
Teachers should also be lightning fast to confront inappropriate language. Sound language has to be embraced at all levels of learning.
Class teachers have to develop the skill of reducing learners’ embarrassment and increasing student engagement so that healthy results can be realized.
On the contrary, when learners are not effectively engaged most likely because of absence of the teacher, the bonding between the teacher and learners becomes uncertain.
Proper classroom management technique would ensure that the best of the learners performance is attained, both academically and behaviorally.
Not all learners can score the, ‘A’ grade, however if a particular learner was supposed to score grade ‘E’ ,then through the teacher’s sound management practices, he/she scores grade “D”, that’s a success.
Proper classroom management is indeed results oriented performance and has to be embraced by all teachers.
