He asked form four leavers interested to train in medical careers to visit his Kisii KMTC offices for further advice on the joining them.

The principal said that applicants for Diploma courses will need a KCSE mean grade of C plain and above, with passes in Mathematics and two other related Science subjects like physics, Chemistry and Biology, in addition to good passes in English or Kiswahili languages.

He said that the duration of Diploma in Nursing will be three years in accordance with the ministry’s curriculum design, asking prospective applicants and their parents to check on the Ministry of Health website for updated information on the requirements for registration and admissions.

The project was started in 2018 through NG-CDF funding but stalled for unknown reasons. It will be the third public medical school in Kisii County after Kisii MTC Nyamache in Bobasi, and Egetuki in Bonachoge Chache.
