Teso South MP engages TSC, Civil Registration staff to discuss service delivery

The Teso South Constituency Member of Parliament (MP) Mary Emaase Otucho, yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the offices of the Teachers Service Commission (TSC) and Civil Registration Services in Busia County, in a move aimed at strengthening education and civil service delivery within her constituency.

Accompanied by her Constituency Office Manager, James Omuke, MP Otucho held consultative and constructive discussions with officials from the two departments on longstanding issues affecting residents of Teso South.

At the TSC offices, the MP raised critical education-related concerns, including the registration status of Kodedema Senior School and Opiloi Comprehensive School. She also addressed matters surrounding the appointment of a school principal and the overall institutional growth of Fr. Okude Secondary School.

Otucho emphasized the importance of timely administrative action to ensure stability, quality learning, and improved education outcomes for students in the constituency.

The engagement with the Civil Registration Services focused on improving access to essential civil documentation. Otucho underscored the need for the establishment of dedicated civil registration offices and deployment of officers within Teso South Constituency. She noted that enhanced access would enable residents to obtain birth and death certificates and other vital documents in a timely and efficient manner, reducing the burden of travel and delays.

Officials from both offices expressed their willingness to work collaboratively with the MP’s office to address the highlighted challenges and explore sustainable, people-centered solutions.

The discussions were characterized by a shared commitment to improving public service delivery and strengthening both education and civil administration systems in the constituency.

Otucho reaffirmed her dedication to advocating for the needs of the people of Teso South and working closely with government institutions to promote inclusive development in line with the Kazi Kwanza agenda.
