Tenwek High School invites bids for construction of new Bomet School facilities

Tenwek High School has announced a key step in the development of the newly established Bomet High School after officially advertising a construction tender for the 2025/2026 financial year. The project seeks to put up a modern tuition and administration block, marking a major milestone in the school’s growth.

This comes after the school was formally given the mandate by the Ministry of Education to mentor and guide the establishment of Bomet High School.

As part of this responsibility, the institution will oversee the construction of essential infrastructure to ensure the new school meets the required learning standards and can adequately support its growing student population.

In a tender notice published this week, the school invited qualified contractors to bid which will specifically covers the construction of the tuition and administration block.

According to the advert, only contractors registered under NCA 6 and above are eligible to participate.

Applicants must also demonstrate proven experience in executing projects of similar or higher magnitude. Additional requirements include submission of a 2% bid bond, proof of tax compliance, six months’ certified bank statements, and audited accounts for the last three years.

Tender documents can be obtained from the school finance office during normal working hours upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Ksh 3,000 per document. Completed bids must be placed in the school’s tender box in a sealed and clearly marked envelope.

All submissions must be received on or before  November 28, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. The opening will take place immediately thereafter in the presence of applicants or their representatives.

The tender is expected to accelerate the establishment of Bomet High School, reinforcing Tenwek High School’s mentorship role and supporting the county’s broader agenda of expanding access to quality education.
